But now it’s a different Mayawati. Leading a bsp-bjp coalition government in the state, Mayawati now holds the SP and the Congress responsible for complicating the Ayodhya issue. She says the Congress opened the site in 1986 to appease upper-caste Hindus and the SP used Ayodhya to appease the Muslims. "The bjp appeared much later on the scene," she added. The chief minister also blamed the cbi for allowing the case to drag for 10 years.
SP chief Mulayam Singh Yadav had told Outlook a fortnight ago that Mayawati would bail out all the 47 named—including the three central ministers of the bjp—in the demolition case.
