In case the Nation wants to know, the new venture of firebrand (remember Times Now screen) journalist Arnab Goswami will be called ‘Republic’ (we know what you just pre-fixed).
“My venture is called 'Republic'. I seek the support of the people of India,” Arnab Goswami told Exchange 4 Media, refusing to divulge more details.
Just then, into the vacancy in Times Now came Rahul Shivshankar, the former News X Editor in Chief.
“First Day at @TimesNow today. Look forward to your continuing support and tweets (sic),” tweeted Rahul Shivshankar, changing his bio as Chief Editor and Senior Vice President, Times Now.

Social media has gone gaga over Arnab’s announcement even though there is not much clarity about his new venture. Both his fans and those who hate him are talking about the news.
“Dear #ArnabGoswami !! Loved the name of your upcoming channel- #Republic. Jai Ho.:) (sic),” tweeted actor Anupam Kher.
The News Hour fame had quit from his position as Editor-in-Chief and President, News, of Times Now and ET Now in November.
Speculations are rife about his new project. Reports suggest that a media owner based out of Bengaluru, a major TV distribution network and an influential advertising and media buying group, are in talks with Goswami for investing in his project.
