The Grand Alliance in Bihar comprises Lalu Prasad’s RJD, Congress party, Jitan Ram Manjhi’s Hindustani Awam Morcha, Sharad Yadav’s Loktantrik Janata Dal, Mukesh Sahni’s Vikasheel Insaan Party, Upendra Kushwaha’s Rashtriya Lok Samta Party and CPI (ML).
The LJD and RLSP are part of the Grand Alliance in Bihar comprising of Rashtriya Janata Dal, Congress and Jiten Ram Manjhi-led Hindustani Awam Morcha.
The meeting will be marked by "broad discussions on the respective number of seats to be fought by each constituent, and identifying constituencies best suited for each alliance partner".
The saffron alliance had swept the Lok Sabha elections in 2014, winning 31 of the state's 40 seats.
RLSP which fought the 2014 general election as well the 2015 state polls as a NDA constituent has altogether three MPs, including Kushwaha, two MLAs and One MLC in Bihar.
Earlier in the day, the Minister told the media that he will not participate in the NDA meeting at Parliament House complex slated to be held at 4 p.m.
A party leader on condition of anonymity said that Upendra Kushwaha is also likely to put in his papers as union minister.
Kushwaha, also a Union minister, met Yadav at the latter's residence and both the leaders were believed to discussed the current political situation, especially in Bihar.
A speculation had been rife that the BJP and the JD(U) could field candidates on 34 out of the total 40 Lok Sabha seats in Bihar, leaving the rest to Lok Janshakti Party and the Rashtriya Lok Samata Party.
His comment came with a disclaimer that his remark does not mean that he is asking for the CM’s resignation.
