    It's a mug's game, but what's the harm in playing, since every one seems to be doing it anyway? BJP's in-house pollster, G V L Narasimha Rao, who has also joined the party recently, has come up with his own survey that suggests something like the above graphic

    BUT, it is based on

    • Congress doing well in Andhra and winning 25 seats (DNA editors give it 14, while Arun Nehru gives it 19)
    • BJP winning 20-plus seats in UP (DNA gives it 10, and Arun Nehru 8). 
    • Congress doing reasonably well in Haryana and improving in Punjab and Rajasthan
    • BJP doing well in Madhya Pradesh, Karnataka, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, Maharashtra, Gujarat and Assam.
