This will be their fourth meeting in the final after the summit clashes in 2011, 2012 and 2016. India won the 2011 and 2016 editions, while Pakistan win the 2012 and 2013 (against Japan) editions.
In a clinical team effort, as many as six Indian players scored in the match. It was India's third win on the trot, following victories over Oman (11-0) and arch-rivals Pakistan (3-1).
Last time the the two teams met at the 2018 Asian Games, India beat Pakistan 3-2 to win the bronze medal play-off in Jakarta. It was in continuation of India's recent domination in the fixture.
Despite carrying a heavy historical baggage, India have dominated the rivalry in recent past, winning eight of nine previous meetings. The only blot was a 2-2 draw at the Gold Coast Commonwealth Games in April.
