Bhopal's Kamla Nehru Children's Hospital Fire: Medical Education Minister Vishwas Sarang said a short circuit might have caused the fire and described the situation inside the ward as 'very scary'.
A fire broke out inside an ICU with 25 patients in Ahmadnagar on Saturday, leaving at least 10 Covid-19 patients dead.
All the patients had been evacuated from Constanta's Hospital for Infectious Diseases and the fire had been extinguished by mid-morning, Romania's emergency situations inspectorate said.
The Health Ministry has not offered an official explanation of what caused the fire, but some believe it was caused by an oxygen cylinder rupture and others say it was caused by an electric short circuit. Officials have not been allowed permission to speak to any journalists about the incident.
The incident occurred at Welfare Hospital in Bharuch and the blaze erupted at around 1 am at the facility’s Covid-19 ward, an official said.
The fire broke out at the Prime Criticare Hospital near Thane at 3.40 am.
The fire broke out after a blast in the air conditioner caused either due to the short circuit or overloading.
While one patient was burnt alive, four others died of suffocation due to the fire at a private hospital in Raipur on Saturday.

A group of eight doctors and nurses completed the operation in two hours before removing the patient to another site.
Around 50 patients were immediately shifted to others wards with the help of hospital staff.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has taken cognisance of the incident and directed that the evacuated patients be provided immediate care.
