The Supreme Court has allowed the Centre and Air India to keep operating its scheduled flights with the middle seats filled for the next ten days.
Several passengers complained that their flights had been cancelled without prior notice from the airlines.
All scheduled commercial passenger flights were suspended in India since March 25 when the Centre imposed a lockdown to contain the virus.
A DGCA order said the that the lower and the upper fare limits for the first band is Rs 2,000 and Rs 6,000, respectively.
The Centre prescribed lower and upper limit on air fares and said airlines will have to adhere to it for a period of three months.
