Riot police clashed with stone-throwing rioters in the Dutch port city after hundreds gathered to oppose stricter anti-coronavirus measures. Police said at least seven people were wounded after warning shots were fired.
The two groups clashed and attacked each other with stones, following which two people were left injured, police said.
Ten persons were killed and over 24 injured in clashes over a land dispute in Sonbhadra district on Wednesday.
The matter came to light on June 16 when the victim had gone to attend a marriage ceremony with his family in Nagar Pipliya village in Mandsaur district.
They also requested the state government to 'engage or encourage engagements with Muslim youth and their families across Kolkata in gender-sensitisation, civic consciousness and law-compliance, etc.'
The deceased has been identified as Rambabu Shaw, while the details of those injured in the incident were yet to be ascertained
As the BJP activists jostled to reach the Bowbazar crossing in the city, police resorted to firing tear gas shells and water cannons to disperse them.
'Three political workers - two of them from the BJP and another from Trinamool - were killed,' said a police officer.
Immediately after the Eid prayers, dozens of youths displayed flags of various militant outfits after which they marched on the road.
The victims appeared to have been killed by 'asphyxiation,’ the Amazonas state government said in a statement, a day after 15 people were killed in one of the prisons.
Some of the inmates were stabbed with sharpened toothbrushes, while others had been strangled, and an investigation has been opened to determine the cause of the fight.
