The players have been selected on the basis of their performance at the recently-held 11th senior women's national championship, the inter-department national championship and other Hockey India sanctioned domestic events.
The players will be returning to the national camp for the first time after their historic bronze-medal winning feat at Tokyo Olympics, breaking a 41-year old drought.
Apart from FIH Junior Men's World Cup, Australia will also miss FIH Pro League, Junior Women’s World Cup, Indoor World Cup and Masters Indoor World Cup.
The 33-year-old Sreejesh is one of the senior most and decorated players of the Indian team.
The Indian men's hockey team was scheduled to play against Spain on May 15 and 16, followed by the two-leg tie in Germany on May 23 and 24.
India will also take on Australia and Spain in February as it plays five away matches that month before taking on Germany and Argentina at home.
The matches were postponed after UK added India to the travel 'red list'. India will still travel to Europe in May to play the Pro League matches against Spain (May 15-16) and Germany (May 22-23)
India and Argentina will play the fourth practice match on 14 April 2021. India had won both FIH Hockey Pro League matches
