Current Chief Minister of Punjab, Charanjit Singh Channi, suggested that Congress should declare the next Chief Ministerial candidate for the upcoming Punjab Assembly elections.
While granting Majithia the pre-arrest bail, Justice Gill also asked him to not to leave the country till the next date of hearing and share his live location with the investigating agency through WhatsApp.
"Today, I am very very surprised that knowing the same vulnerability of Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi, they should have been the first to criticise or censure the Punjab chief minister," Sarma told reporters here.

The party also sought fixing of accountability of security agencies, including the Special Protection Group (SPG) and the Intelligence Bureau (IB).
This will be over and above the monthly pension of Rs 1,500 being given to them. This financial assistance will be credited directly into their bank accounts.
The Congress leader said Punjab is carrying a heavy debt burden. The state does not generate enough revenue to be able to meet its total expenditure of Rs 1.40 lakh crore. It pays Rs 30,000 crore as interest on debt, he claimed.
Farmers under the banner of the Kisan Mazdoor Sangharsh Committee (KMSC) had started their 'rail roko' stir on December 20 at various places, affecting the movement of several trains and causing inconvenience to passengers.
