The victim, Mildred Matheny, had gone missing from her home in Fort Lauderdale, Florida in April 27, 1985. Soon after, she was found nude and beaten near her house. She died 11 days later.
Baberu Station House Officer (SHO) Bhaskar Mishra said the girl went missing from home on Sunday, following which her parents started searching for her.
