Himachal Turns White After Unexpected Snowfall

Snowfall in Himachal Pradesh is not unusual and has always been an event to attract thousands of tourists and revellers during the winters. Mountainous valleys in the tribal belt lighted up by the white –charm, however, are impacted by the Covid and thus are not welcoming the tourists April snow in Lahaul-Spiti district, across 13,059 feet high Rohtang Pass is unprecedented. It has suddenly brought down the temperature to minus 1.4 degrees C. Elsewhere in the state, the snow, incessant rain and hailstorm has wreaked havoc on the fruit orchards of Shimla, Kullu-Manali, Mandi and Kinnaur
