The entry-level cross-hatch segment has become hotly contested in a matter of just two days with the back to back launches of the Maruti S-Presso and Renault Kwid facelift. Both cars appeal to the same demographic and offer similar features. The S-Presso is priced from Rs 3.69 lakh to Rs 4.91 lakh while the facelifted Kwid’s price tag ranges between Rs 2.83 lakh to Rs 4.85 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).

But which of these two mini-SUVs offers the most value for money? Let’s take a look:

Dimensions

Variants Comparison

We will be comparing similarly priced variants with similar engine options of both the S-Presso and facelifted Kwid (a price difference of upto Rs 50,000).

Note: We’ve only listed the prices of ‘Optional’ variants of the Maruti models above as they are equipped with more safety features and would be the ones we’d recommend.
