The Hurriyat Conference today said no date has been fixed for its executive meeting expected to deliberate the issue of "cold response" by India and Pakistan to its communications seeking separate meetings with the leadership of the two countries prior or after the proposed India-Pakistan summit.
"We have not fixed any date for the executive council meeting as we are waiting for the response to our letters from the two governments", Hurriyat Chairman Prof Abdul Gani Bhat said today.
He said he was confident of receiving a positive response from India and Pakistan adding the executive council, the highest decision making body of Hurriyat, will soon meet after receiving the replies from the two governments.
"The two Governments will see reason and respond positively to our communications for the success of the Vajpayee-Musharraf summit meeting", Bhat said, adding "we have not lost hope".
When his attention was drawn to the reports about negative approach of the two Governments towards Hurriyat Conference, he said the issue would be discussed after the return of Hurriyat leaders from their current tours.
