Voting for 543 Lok Sabha seats will be held in seven phases: April 11, April 18, April 23, April 29, May 6, May 12 and May 19. Counting will be done on May 23.

Around 41.73% votes were cast by 3 pm in the four Lok Sabha seats in Bihar where polling is on in the first phase. As per percentage figure released by the Bihar chief electoral officer, Gaya recorded the highest turnout at 44%, followed by Nawada at 43%, Jmaul at 41.34% and Aurangabad at 43%.
