Sharing the video, Lord's asked: "Who would like to get engaged at Lord’s?"

It happened on July 14, 2018. During the 24th over of the England innings, a young man went down on his knees and proposed to his girlfriend. The girl first laughed as the official broadcaster of the series, Sky Sports flashed 'Decision Pending' on the screen. And giving the live commentary was former England cricketer, David Lloyd. Then came the Yes, on the screen too.

Valentine's Day remains controversial in India with right-wing Hindu groups criticising its Western roots. Also, some demand February 14 to be observed as ‘Veer Jawan Diwas’ as a tribute to the soldiers who died last year in the Pulwama terror attack.

England, after posting 322/7 with the help of Joe Root's unbeaten 113, beat India by 86 runs. Not a single Indian batsman managed to reach the 50-run mark.
