On a wicket-less Day 4 of the first Test between Sri Lanka and Bangladesh, 283 were scored in 76 overs before bad light stopped play at Pallekele International Cricket Stadium, Pallekele. Resuming the penultimate day's play on the overnight score of 229/3, Sri Lanka were placed at 512/3 with skipper Dimuth Karunaratne and Dhananjaya de Silva unbeaten on 234 and 154.
