Dr. A.P.J Abdul Kalam, India's 11th President, died due to a cardiac arrest while delivering a lecture at the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) in Shillong on July 27, 2015.
In his address at the 41st DRDO Directors Conference, he also said the development of weaponry and other systems should be done keeping "future warfare" in mind.
'Regional developments in the space sector in South Asia are remarkable no matter which nation leads - in space, all political boundaries dissolve,' Namira Salim, Pakistan's first female astronaut said.
'There are interests from the US, Russia and China to create a base on Moon, (so) India will naturally follow,' Former DRDO scientist A Sivathanu Pillai said.

The PSLV is a four-stage engine expendable rocket with alternating solid and liquid fuel. In its normal configuration, the rocket will have six strap-on motors hugging it's first stage.
The test makes India the fourth country in the world after the US, Russia and China to acquire the strategic capability to shoot down enemy satellites.
